"Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth…" (Revelation 14:6 NIV) What's so great about this "eternal gospel"? Why is it mentioned in the Bible ninety times? The apostle Paul said it this way, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." (Romans 1:16 NIV) One way the gospel saves people is through something called "redemption". Redemption means "to buy something out". Like buying slaves in the ancient marketplace just to set them free. Listen and hear how the Gospel of Jesus buys us out of spiritual slavery and sets us free.
